Candidates to the IICL certification examination should have a good understanding and study the inspection and repair manuals and will likely find the course useful for their preparation. At the end of the course a test simulation takes place for students to assess their level of knowledge and also in preparation for the exam.
The online course does not replace the need to study the manuals but instead facilitates the understanding of the main topics addressed on the manuals. The IICL recommends that whenever possible all individual subscribers and exam candidates should attend field practice to solidify their knowledge. The IICL provides remote assistance to clarify technical questions related to the course via email.
After signing up for the Online Dry Van Training Course students have unlimited access to the course for 6 months. The course consists of 3 modules having slides and movies addressing inspections, repairs including proper inspection practices and recommended repair criteria selection.
The training modules are based on the latest guides for container inspection, repairs and technical bulletins. A test simulating the exam is built into the training module enabling students to evaluate their knowledge. Remote assistance is available via e-mail.
Upon satisfactory completion of the Online course students can print their certificate of completion.
NOTE: IICL Online Dry Van Training Course is NOT a substitute for the Dry Van Container Inspector Certification Examination. All who wish to obtain the IICL Dry Van Container Inspector Certificate will still need to register and participate in the IICL Dry Van Container Inspector Certification Examination. This course is only available in English.
