IICL is offering a one-day Dry Van Inspection & Repair Training Course on 19 November 2020 in Houston, Texas.


  • Promote the understanding of the new IICL-6 inspection criteria. In addition, review applicable IICL manuals dealing with repair and proper inspection techniques.
  • Review the latest industry issues relating to the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
  • View container repairs in progress and take part in an estimate writing exercise.

Who Should Attend:
The Dry Van Inspection Course is an excellent way for gate inspectors, surveyors and maintenance supervisors to understand the IICL criteria and responsibilities from turn-in to lease-out.

Course Fee: USD $450.00.
Course fee includes the new Guide for Container Equipment Inspection, 6th Ed., Repair Manual for Steel Freight Containers, 5th Ed. and Supplement on Inspection & Repair: Gray Areas, 2nd Ed. (a $120 value)..

Course Duration: 1 Day.
The morning session will be in a classroom environment where students will review power point slides and other dry van material. The afternoon session will be held at a local depot where all students will go through practical training on a dry van unit.

All who attend will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training session. The training course will be given in English with a limited seating – up to 20 participants.  Therefore, early registrations are highly encouraged to ensure seating is reserved.

All events are subject to cancellation if they do not have the required minimum number of participants registered and paid 3 weeks prior to the event. Registrations made within 15 days of the event will incur an additional fee of USD $100.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds will be given for any cancellation received by 1 September 2020, less a USD $50 cancellation fee. After this date, no refunds will be given, but alternate attendees may be designated at no charge.

Class is subject to a minimum number of paid registrations. The IICL may cancel classes within 30 days if the minimum number of participants is not met.

Refunds will not be given, however, for hotel arrangements or flight accommodations.
