Course Duration: 1 Day
The morning session will be in a classroom environment where students will review power point slides and other dry van material. The afternoon session will be held at a local depot where all students will go through practical training on a dry van unit.
All who attend will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the training session.
Course fee includes IICL’s Guide for Container Equipment Inspection, 6th edition; The Supplement on Inspection & Repair: Gray Areas, 2nd edition and the Repair Manual for Steel Freight Containers, 5th edition (a $125 value). Objectives:
To promote the understanding of the new IICL-6 inspection criteria. In addition, review applicable IICL manuals dealing with repair and proper inspection techniques.
Review the latest industry issues relating to the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
View container repairs in progress and take part in an estimate writing exercise. The course will be conducted in English.
