The IICL is currently planning a Dry Van Container class in Santos, Brazil on Tuesday, 24 February 2026. The course will be administered in Portuguese.

The course is subject to a minimum number of participants, therefore, we encourage early registrations. 

Objectives:

  • Promote the understanding of the new IICL-6 inspection criteria. In addition, review applicable IICL manuals dealing with repair and proper inspection techniques.
  • Review the latest industry issues relating to the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
  • View container repairs in progress and take part in an estimate writing exercise.

Who Should Attend:
The Dry Van Inspection Course is an excellent way for gate inspectors, surveyors and maintenance supervisors to understand the IICL criteria and responsibilities from turn-in to lease-out.

Course Fee: US $450
Course fee includes the following IICL digital manuals Guide for Container Equipment Inspection, 6th Ed., Repair Manual for Steel Freight Containers, 5th Ed., Supplement on Inspection & Repair: Gray Areas, 2nd Ed and General Guide for Container Cleaning, 3rd Ed. (a $163 value).

Course duration: 1 day (Tuesday, 24 February 2026)

Theorical 65% and hands on practice 35% of the time.

Light lunch will be provided

All participants will receive an IICL certificate of attendance.

Participants will receive access to 4 IICL digital manuals that can be installed and viewed in a single device (not printable).

Cancellation Policy: Refunds will be given for any cancellation received by 9 February 2026, less a $100 cancellation fee. After this date, no refunds will be given, but alternate attendees may be designated at no charge.

Refunds will not be given, however, for hotel arrangements or flight accommodations.
